(Houston, TX — March 21, 2022) Audubon is continuing to open new amenities, with the 650-acre Legacy Park debuting in early April.
Located in the Audubon Park neighborhood, Legacy Park will be a place where residents can enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature.
“Not only are large oaks prominent in the park’s design, we’re also creating friendly habitats to attract birds and butterflies,” said Sam Yager, Vice President of Audubon Magnolia Development, LLC. “We’re staying true to our commitment of protecting the fabulous natural resources found in Audubon.”
A trio of oak trees provide a shady sitting area overlooking the children’s play area. Tree swings will be installed at a nearby cluster of oaks. Trails meander through Hummingbird Meadow and Butterfly Field. A loggia with bench swings overlooks a wooded area. Hummingbird feeders and other bird feeders will be placed throughout the park.
“We’ve also installed interpretive signage and picnic tables,” Yager said. “Legacy Park will deliver a new experience each time residents visit.”
Already open in Audubon is Screech Park, offering a play structure, swings, bench seating, activity lawns, trails and a Screech Owl habitat.
Future amenities will include ponds, trails, a clubhouse, resort-style pool, children’s pool, covered pavilions and a food truck park. Approximately 650 acres of the 3,000-acre community are devoted to parks, trails, open space and other amenities.
Audubon Park is the community’s second phase, with builders such as Empire Communities, Drees Custom Homes and Perry Homes starting sales there late last year. Empire Communities recently opened a model home at 15664 Audubon Park Drive. Empire’s homes are designed for 60-foot properties and are priced from the $490,000s. Perry’s and Drees’ model homes are expected to open this spring. Perry Homes offers designs for 60- and 70-foot properties, and Drees has homes designed for 70-foot properties. Perry’s pricing start in the low $500,000s and Drees’ from the $560,000s.
Also selling in the Heron Heights neighborhood of Audubon are Anglia Homes and Devon Street Homes, who offer homes priced from the $280,000s and $270,000s, respectively.
Homes in Audubon feature “transitional” architecture, with exterior material choices designed to complement the homes’ natural surroundings. Plus, all Audubon homeowners enjoy front yard maintenance that is included in their annual homeowner association dues.
Audubon’s master plan dedicates approximately 550 acres for mixed-use development, including retail, dining and other offerings. The Magnolia Independent School District also has purchased a 14-acre tract in the community for Audubon Elementary School. The district has not yet set a construction date.
Audubon is located in the City of Magnolia’s extra-territorial jurisdiction just west of The Woodlands at the intersection of the State Highway 249 toll road and FM 1488. Learn more at www.audubonliving.com.
