Audubon Elementary - Anticipated Fall 2024

On November 8, 2022, voters showed their commitment to education by saying “yes” to MISD’s $232 million bond referendum that will bring three new schools to the district, one of them being our own Audubon Elementary School.  This bond authorization, which will incur no new taxes, will also fund a new intermediate school and an additional junior high school within the Magnolia ISD as well as put money toward technology upgrades, security, and other needed enhancements. Magnolia ISD expects opening the doors of the new Audubon Elementary School in August of 2024.  

This estimated $41 million elementary school will be located on an approximately 14-acre site at the intersection of Audubon Parkway and Audubon Trace in the Audubon Park District.  According to MISD, this modern education facility will be an approximate 105,000 SF two-story building ready to serve 900 students ranging from Early Childhood/Pre-K to 4^th Grade.  Amenities will include a cafeteria with stage, a gym, a library, an area for special needs students, and much more.  In addition, the school will showcase access to the existing Audubon trail system to conveniently connect the school to the walkable Audubon community. Magnolia is growing by leaps and bounds and Magnolia ISD is proactively responding.  Audubon is thrilled to be part of this initiative. Stay tuned for more updates!
